We process applications on a first come, first served basis. Applications will be reviewed for complete and accurate information (i.e. proof of income, etc.), and then we will reach out to you to discuss whether you qualify.
You do not need to have any income to qualify. There is, however, a maximum income. In order to qualify for the Home Preservation Program, the applicants’ gross household income must be no more than 60 percent of the Area Median Income for the number of people occupying the home. The chart below shows the maximum income for each household size.

In order to qualify for the Home Preservation Program, the applicants’ assessed home value must be no more than $225,000. You can find your home’s assessed value by visiting your county assessor’s website (Polk County, Dallas County, Jasper County) and searching for your address.

The timeline for repairs depends on what repairs are needed and the time at which the homeowner applies. Upon completion of application and qualification process, repairs are typically completed within 180 days or less. Many are completed more quickly.
