Make a difference at the ReStore!

ReStore Volunteers are needed daily to help prepare donations for display, assist customers, keep the store clean and organized, and even help with special events. ReStore volunteers work along side staff for a morning or afternoon of helping customers, processing donations, organizing the ReStore floor, or helping with special events. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to work hard and be part of Habitat’s mission. ReStore volunteers are essential to everything we do.

Special opportunities

Appliance Testing & Repair

Assist the ReStores in testing donated refrigerators, ranges, microwaves, and more. Technical skills are a plus, but full training can be provided. Opportunities available at East Euclid and Urbandale locations.

Small Engine Repairs – Urbandale

Help diagnose and repair donated items like lawn mowers, snowblowers, and other small engines. Mechanical experience is required.

ReStore Kitchen Cabinet Deconstruction

Assist ReStore staff in removing cabinets and other items from donors’ homes for sale at the ReStore.
