Roberto works at Marzetti frozen pastas in Des Moines and Geri is a stay at home mom. Geri was born in Texas, and raised in Marshalltown, and has been living in Des Moines for the past 25 years. Roberto is from San Luis Potosi, Mexico and came to the United States 10 years ago. He came to the US to be with family and to find work. He and Geri have been married for 9 years. The have a pair of adopted twins, Jesse and Joseph. The boys are active 5 year olds and are starting kindergarten this year. The twins are Roberto and Geri’s nephews and they adopted them to keep them from being separated.
They currently live on the south side in an apartment. They are looking forward to owning their own home and having plenty of room and the boys are looking forward to getting a dog. Geri's wish is to stay well enough from the Lupus she suffers from to see her boys go to college.
